Registration Fee covers workshops, conference materials and all meals from Sunday night dinner to Wednesday lunch. Food will be dairy/pareve/vegetarian - except for Sunday night, which will be kosher Texas BBQ with a vegetarian option. Please understand that if you cancel your registration within one week of the conference, we will be unable to refund your fee.

 

We have a limited amount of scholarship money available. Anyone interested in applying for a scholarship subsidy should do so in writing by April 28, 2008 to Geri Zeller (cantorgeri@aol.com) explaining your need, career goals, and why you would like to attend the conference. The Executive Board will review requests and applicants will be notified of the decision.

HOTEL: Holiday Inn Northwest in Austin, Texas. The phone number is 512-343-0888. Please request the block of rooms under WCN (the rate is $125/night, excluding tax). Check in time is 3:00 pm.

After you make your reservation, call Jennifer at 512-634-3207, and she will be able to extend your conference rates for a couple of nights before and after the conference.

 

The airport in Austin (there is only one) is AUS, and most major carriers fly there.

 

From the airport to the hotel, you have 3 options:

1.      a cab – which should run about $30

2.      Super Shuttle – which is $20-$25 – the local phone number is 512-258-3826,

      or you can book at www.supershuttle.com (check website for group rates)

3.      a rental car

This year we are introducing Build Your Own Service (BYOS). If you’ve ever wanted to explore creating your own service, here’s your chance! You can make your own unique siddur to share.

Will you be having your hair cut for our mitzvah project? Yes __________  No __________

On Monday, June 23, we will have haircutters and stylists at the JCC Dell Community Campus to cut our hair. They are volunteering their time, but tips will be appreciated. Zichron Menachem will take hair that is 10” in length to use for wigs; they will also take hair that is shorter than 10” in length, as well as dyed and gray hair. Please understand the latter will be sold, with the profits being used to make wigs. For more information on the organization, please go to www.zichron.org
